The students of the University's Scientific Faculties in order to be accredited the required exam have to take a
foreign language competence test. If they do not pass the test they
can be inserted into one of the
foreign language modules. The students from the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy (apart from those studying for a degree in Modern European Languages and Cultures) have to take a
final foreign language competence test choosing from one of the languages studied over the three years. The students have to
sign up for these tests on line. The CLA web site offers the possibility to test your level through
our interactive exercises. The CLA also offers various services including the
materials consultation room,
the self-access laboratory, a
movie club as well as the possibility to take one of the many foreign language proficiency exams offered by the
International Certificating Bodies. The CLA is also a
Trinity College and
University of Cambridge exam centre as well as being affiliated to both the
Alliance Française and the
Instituto Cervantes, organising exams on site. The CLA is also a member of
AICLU (Italian Association of University Language Centres). The web site gives a wide range of possibilities, including access to the
FAQ, in order to obtain immediate answers to the most frequently asked questions about the CLA, as well as numerous
links useful for studying foreign languages and there is a
download area where helpful files can be obtained, these include an example of the foreign language competence test as well the syllabi of the foreign language competence test and of the final language competence test for the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, a presentation of the
