Background
Ugo Erra was born in Salerno. He got his Laurea (cum laude) in Computer Science from the Università degli Studi di Salerno in 2001. In 2005 he got a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Università di Salerno.
At the present he is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the Facoltà di Scienze MM.FF.NN., Dipartimento di Matematica e Informatica of the Università della Basilicata.
He is also involved in several national and international research projects with the ISISlab group of the Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni of the Università degli Studi di Salerno.
His research interests include:
- Computer Graphics: Real Time Rendering, Graphics Simulations
- Parallel Computing: (GPGPU)General-Purpose Computation on Graphics Hardware, Distributed computing
- Information Visualization: Non-Hierarchical File System, Adaptive User Interfaces
