Esperimento CMS

The CMS Muon detector consists of four sub-detectors: Drift Tubes (DT) in the barrel region, Cathod Strip Chambers (CSC) in the endcap region and Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) as dedicated trigger detectors in both the barrel and the endcap.
The group of Naples is part of the barrel RPC trigger project with the groups of Bari, Pavia, China and Bulgaria and is involved in the following items:
  1. Design, construction and test of the HV and LV systems;
  2. RPC Detector Control System;
  3. RPC cables routing and installation;
  4. Construction and test of the RB1 chambers.
