Research Interests and Accomplishments Incompressible and compressible fluid mechanics, turbulent reacting flows, sprays, numerical analysis, combustion, two-phase flows, large eddy and direct numerical simulation as applied to internal combustion engines, marine applications, external flows such as aerofoils and internal flows such as scram jets. Has developed several software packages for research and industrial applications: REC, FLEDS, FLODIR, MD, SOOTF and others. REC (Reciprocating and Rotary Engine Combustion) code is used in accademical institutions around the world (USA, Europe and Japan) for engineering applications. Several versions of the code have been developed over a period of about 15 years. The code solves multidimensional, compressible, turbulent, multiphase reacting flows. A parallel version of the code is also available.
