Special issue of Hess entitled: Climate-soil and vegetation interactions in ecological-hydrological processes

Editors: Vito Iacobellis , Salvatore Manfreda, Murugesu Sivapalan

The special issue will focus on different aspects of the theme Climate-soil and vegetation interactions in ecological-hydrological processes and for this reason it will be divided in four parts. The first regards the open questions on the available methods for water balance modeling, the mutual interactions of climate, soil and vegetation patterns, and their link with base hydrological processes. The second part deals with new perspectives, models and ideas, bringing the feedbacks of previous sections in the field coupled hydrologic and biogeochemical modeling. The last two parts are devoted to projects and analyses dealing with specific environments strongly interacting with water availability and conditions (drylands and wetlands).
