Beniamino Murgante is assistant professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Basilicata.
He took his PhD in “Sciences and methods for European cities and territory” at the Department of Civil engineer of the University of Pisa and he carried out other researches in Lyon at the Laboratory for Information System Engineering directed by Robert Laurini.
His main interests are urban and regional planning focussing the attention in the use of Spatial Information for decision support system. His wide range of research interests include all aspects of the uncertainty in territorial planning especially applications of Spatial Information for environmental policy making and environmental planning, multicriteria evaluation, fuzzy set, rough set and geostatistical methods.
